The Las Vegas Metro police disclosed the name of the suspect involved in the Drai's After Hours nightclub shooting early Monday morning. The gunman was identified as Benjamin Frazier, 41 years old. In a news conference, police said Frazier had a long record of criminal history. The authorities added that he had been arrested various times for assaulting people in nightclubs.

According to a USAToday report, the police wrapped crime scene tape around slot machines outside the club. However, gambling continued in other parts of Ballys hotel and casino.

Gambling is a billion dollar industry in Las Vegas. However, gaming revenue dipped in July to USD 925.7 million, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review Journal. This was a 7.9% decline compared to the USD 1.005 billion it collected in the same period last year. In the Las Vegas Strip, where Ballys is located, gaming revenues in July dropped to USD 511.4 million. This was a 14.4% plunge compared to the USD 597.4 million generated in July last year.
