Porsche would be unveiling the Macan in 37 days. The 2014 SUV model would be shown at an auto show to be held in Los Angeles. According to news website I4U News, Porsche would be targeting the segment of lower-priced car buyers the way the company did with its Porsche Boxster. A teaser video had already been released which revealed a mini SUV with unique quad headlights.

According to a Bloomberg report, Porsche expected profits to resume in 2014 when the Macan and another model, the 918 Spyder hybrid would be released.

Commerzbank Analyst Daniel Schwartz told Bloomberg, "I expect Porsche earnings to rise next year. The Macan is set to be the key earnings driver in 2014, especially in the second half of the year. The 911 lineup should also reach its peak."

Porsche Chief Financial Officer Lutz Meschke said Porsche would invest more than EUR 1.3 billion this year for its projects. He said it would use money from its operating cash flow and would not seek funds from the capital market.
