An announcement was made by R Stephen Hannahs and Two Sigma Private Investments formalizing the creation of Wings Capital Partners. This new firm would be focusing on investments creation as well as strategic advisory for financing in the aviation industry.

Hannahs was one of the founders of the Aviation Capital Group back in 1989. He was the CEO of the company as it grew into a global aircraft business having a portfolio of 250 aircraft with over 90 airline clients in over 45 countries.

According to Two Sigma's Private Investment Group Managing Director Brian Mondesitt, "Steve Hannahs is an aviation industry veteran and innovator who established in extraordinary record of success at ACG. We are excited to join with Steve and his team at Wings Capital Partners and to provide a flexible capital base that will allow WCP to execute its business plan and vision."

Hannahs added, "This is a great opportunity to partner with Two Sigma. This partnership will bring a unique form of flexible capital to an industry that continually seeks innovative ways to finance itself. Two Sigma has already demonstrated a forward looking vision in the deployment of capital in our commitments to a variety of different projects. WCP will be a boutique aviation investment firm."
