Ascent products to be sold in Wal-Mart stores

The manufacturer of solar powered consumer electronics devices, Ascent Solar Technologies Inc, said its share values rose the highest in the past four months after Wal-Mart had agreed to include its product line in the retailers shelves.

Share values of Ascent rose 22% to USD1.04 per share at close of markets in New York. This is the highest jump by the shares since May 20.

Wal-Mart would be offering online Ascent's EnerPlex product lin, which includes solar powered charging cases for Apple's iPhone and Samsung Galaxy 4 devices. Aside from the solar powered chargers, Ascent as a company also are active in the aerospace, transportation and off-grid applications for its solar product lines according to a statement issued by the company from its Thornton, CO headquarters.

This company has not been able to get out of the red since its IPO back in 2006. Acccording to data obtained by Bloomberg, the company's enterprise value had increased by 68% to USD56.3 million.
