Global Atlantic Financial Group is a multiline insurance and reinsurance company. Today, the company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Commonwealth Annuity and Life Insurance Co, had completed its acquisition of Aviva USA's life insurance business. This was after the receipt of all required regulatory approvals.

The acquired business and team would continue its operations in Des Moines, Iowa. The group would be led by Mike Miller. He would report to Global Atlantic Life & Annuity business President and Chief Operating Officer Nicholas von Moltke.
