Online ski marketplace Liftopia received USD 5 million in Series D funding. Industry Ventures led the most recent funding round. Current investors First Round Capital, Erik Blachford, Lowercase Capital and SK Ventures also supported the round. New investors also participated. These included Mark Benioff of Salesforce, Jeremy Stoppelmen of Yelp, Rascoff Walter Winshall of Zillow and ru-Net.

The firm said it would be using the proceeds of the latest funds to enhance its Cloud Store. It would enable the company to add new features that would solve the challenges faced by ski resorts that are using the platform.

The Cloud Store is Liftopia's e-commerce platform launched last year. The platform would allow resorts to offer discounted lift tickets to skiers. When it was launched, a maximum of 15 ski resorts used the Cloud Store. That number rose to 50 last season. This season, Liftopia expected to double the number of resorts using the platform.
