Apple's latest operating system, the iOS 7, was finally released last September 18 but users complained that it is plagued with downloading issues. Apple users took to social media to air their complaints. A lot of them received the error message that said "An error occurred downloading iOS 7."

The Christian Today website said the failure could be caused by two things. First, the sheer volume of people trying to get the new update had the servers at Apple struggling. The second could stem from the lack of space of a user's device. The website said the new iOS 7 needed to have as much as 1 GB of space to be installed.

Apple recently launched the free iOS 7 together with its two new iPhones, the 5C and the 5S. While the iOS 7 is free, Apple is counting on its newly-released iPhones to boost sales. A Forbes report in July revealed that the company had found it more challenging to get more profits from what is considered its cash cow, the iPhone.

For the third quarter, Apple's gross margins of 39% showed a contraction. Compared to last year's figures, these showed a reduction of 700 basis points. The revenue per unit also showed a reduction. Last year, the iPhone was making USD 607.85 in revenue per iPhone unit. For the third quarter, however, this had plunged to USD 581.10 per unit.
