Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. announced today its substantial acquisition of all the asset of YES Trans Inc. The latter is a refrigerated truckload service provider operating in Salisbury, Massachusetts. YES is the transporter of meat and produce between the Northeast and Midwest and Southeast territories in the US. The deal between Roadrunner and YES was valued around USD1.2 million in cash plus an earn-out capped at USD1.1 million. The deal was financed through Roadrunner's cash on hand.

Accoridng to Roadrunner's Truckload Logistics division President Brian Van Helden, "The YES acquisition enhances our refrigerated truckload service offering in the Northeast due to its concentration in temperature controlled products. We will incorporate the YES operations into our existing Massachusetts refrigerated location and are excited about the growth opportunities we collectively envision. We look forward to supporting and expanding YES' strong customer relationships and service record as we continue to grow the business."
