NetMediaEurope expands international portfolio through acquisition

NetMediaEurope had announced its acquisition of B!T, a Portuguese-language online technology news outlet that focuses on Portuguese and Brazilian markets.

NetMediaEurope would be having a strengthened position after its acquisition of B!T in the IT B2B network. It would also allow NetMediaEurope to serve the rapidly growing Portuguese-speaking Latin American market. The acquisition brought six more countries served by NetMediaEurope including France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

B!T was established in 1998 by a group of journalists with the goal of creating a technology accessible to all users online. Today, B!T receives around 100,000 visitors that included business users and IT professionals. B!T covers key IT topics such as hardware, software, cloud, big data, mobile and security business.

Dominique Busso, CEO of NetMediaEurope said, "At present, NetMediaEurope's presence in Latin America (LATAM) has already been growing significantly thanks to our Spanish websites. LATAM is an important market, especially Brazil and we recognised the importance of the Portuguese language so we decided to incorporate it to our portfolio."
