Lockheed Martin said it was eyeing more technology purchases after it bought London-based IT company Amor Group. No financial details were disclosed about the Amor deal but the US defense firm said it sought to make more acquisitions in Britain and Australia. The IT division of the contractor is a major player in the US cyber market space.

Lockheed's Information Systems & Global Solutions Executive Vice President Sondra Barbour told Reuters, "Our focus is to build capability here in country. If we are to be successful in ... UK and Australia, we would expect to have an acquisition or two, we are actively pursuing them."

She said Lockheed would be looking at areas were synergies were present but did not specify deals or companies. Barbour also added that the firm would be hiring cyber analysts in the UK. Of the 28,000 people working in the IT division, there were only 1,000 people in Britain and another 500 in Australia, Barbour said.
