Benu Networks raises new funding round

A USD26.6 million Series B funding round was recently announced by Benu Networks Inc. The said round was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, one of the premier venture capital firms with a sterling reputation for successful investments in the IT/communications industry. 

Other investors that participated in the round included Spark Capital and Comcast ventures. The funding would be utilized to further enhance and accelerare the go-to marketing strategy of the company.

Part of the investment deal would be the appointment of Sutter Hill Ventures Managing Director Stefan Dycerhoff to the Benu Networks Board of Directors. 

Established back in 2010, Benu has revolutionized Carrier Wi-Fi and HetNet deployments for Fixed and Mobile Broadband Operators for the industry. The solutions Benu provide was the simplification of large scale networks through the transfer of the intelligence and complexity to the Packet Core leveraging SDN/NFV from its access networks.

According to Dyckerhoff, "Benu's disruptive approach for large-scale device management, session control and IP service intelligence solves a big networking problem for Wi-Fi and HetNet deployments and influenced our decision to invest int he company."
