Groupon Getaways acquires Blink

Groupon announced the acquisition of Blink, an online travel app. The focus of Blink is the European market, with highly curated same day booking services to add on to the rapidly expanding Groupon Getaways travel business. Currently. Blink is connected to 2,000 business partners in eight countries in Europe.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According Groupon Getaway Senior Vice President Aaron Cooper, "We are very excited to welcome the Blink team to the Groupon family. The combination of a fantastic mobile app, same day inventory management for properties and a team that is obsessed with mobile and last minute trave will help us further expand our travel business as the go-to destination for great deals on great places to stay."
