'Big Bang Theory' will expect Shatner to guest-star

The executive producers of American TV series would be expecting a call from Captain Kirk soon.

Although CBS did not release nor disclose any information regarding guest stars for the seventh season of "Big Bang Theory".

In an appearance at the Salt Lake Comic Con Friday together with "Batman" TV series star Adam West, Shatner was very open in appearing on the TV series as a guest star. Shatner initially posted the question to his audience, before saying that he will be working on it. "I promise you, I'm going back to L.A. tomorrow. Monday morning I'll make a call, OK?" Shatner said. West was not sure and answered the question with a "Maybe".

"Big Bang Theory" is a TV comedy sitcom created by producers Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. Premiered in CBS on September 26, 2007, it focuses on friendships between four scientists, of which two are roommates. The roommates have a neighbor who happened to be an aspiring actress who is working part-time in restaurant. The characters are avid fans of science fiction, fantasy, comic books and memorabilia, and that "Star Trek" is frequently referenced.

As a spin-off of Viacom, CBS has been doing well as an independent company. The company saw USD14.245 billion in revenues to its coffers and an equity value of USD9.908 billion in 2011.
