Tyres on the Drive (TOTD) announced that it received an additional GBP 1.5 million in a funding round. The UK-based online mobile-tire fitting platform said the round was led by MMC Ventures with the support of EV Group. The most recent capital infusion brought the total investment of TOTD to more than GBP 2.6 million.

The online service said the proceeds of the round would be used to expand its services nationwide. TOTD currently serves clients in the North West and the West Midlands. However, TOTD said it intended to cover customers in Yorkshire as well as in London and the Southern portions of the UK by the end of the year.

TOTD enables customers to book for tire replacement online. They would then be able to have their tires fitted in a location they choose. It was launched in 2011 by former Michelin Senior Manager Dominic Clark.

Clark said that it had been a busy and exciting time for his company. "Feedback on our service to date has been fantastic, which is testament that we are raising the industry bar very high for value, service and convenience," he added.
