Good Morning America unveils rules for "ROAR With Katy Perry" contest

Good Morning America announced the rules for their recently-launched "ROAR With Katy Perry" Contest on their website. The contest called on students to make a two-minute video of Perry's eighth number one single. The video would have to be shot in their school. The winner would win a concert by the singer to be held in their school sometime this October. Good Morning America would be broadcasting the concert.

"Roar" is the Teenage Dream's latest single which is now topping the Billboard's Hot 100 Charts. ABC News reported that it had close to 600,000 digital downloads on its release week that Nielsen rated it as the "highest digital debut of anything this year."

As of June 2013, Forbes ranked Katy Perry 18th in its Celebrity 100 list with earnings of USD 39 million. She holds an equity stake in Popchips, a snack brand. She bought a minority stake in Popchips in August 2011 and joined the ranks of other celebrity investors of the brand which included Jillian Michaels, Heidi Klum and Sean "Diddy" Combs. She also has a fragrance deal with French perfume house Coty. Forbes also added that her "Part of Mebiopic released last year net a seven-figure sum for Perry.
