One of the leading providers for customer experience services and systems announced its entry into an agreement to purchase privately held Actix for the price of USD120 million in cash. This transaction is still subject to the standard closing conditions.

With this acquisition, the Amdocs' customer experience is expanded further into management of the customer experience in both IT and in the network domains. The said acquisition has been approved by the respective boards of both parties and is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

The Actix acquisition marks the inclusion of independent software provider for the optimization of mobile network solutions into the Customer Experience Systems portfolio of Amdocs. It would utilize geo-located network data that would be driving a plethora of optimization use scenarios.

According to Actix CEO, "Together, Amdocs and Actix will continue to pioneer development in network optimization, enhancing our position as the leading provider of network-independent solutions in this area. The combination of our asset, spanning network and IT will offer service providers the most powerful customer experience driven network optimization solution available."
