Jason Lee, managing director at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. was charged with rape. Lee allegedly assaulted a 20 year old woman. The incident took place at a Long Island, New York home, according to court records.

The 37 year old Lee was arrested and indicted with first degree rape. This was after police went to his Clover Leaf Lane vacation home last August 21. Authorities then learned that the woman had been sexually assaulted within the residence during a gathering of several people. This was according to a statement issued by the police.

Jason Lee was indicted by a grand jury on three charges including first degree rape, two counts of misdemeanor assault and sexual misconduct. This was according to state court records shown online. Lee posted a total of USD20,000 cash bail and was scheduled for arraignment on September 20.

The police statement did not indicate Lee's employer. However, a source who asked not to be identified as he was not authorized to speak about personnel matters publicly said that Jason Lee is the head of convertibles at Goldman Sachs. The indicted managing director had been placed on leave by the company.
