Today Wayra, Telefonica's start-up accelerator announced the date of its second global "Demo Day". The event was scheduled on November 14, 2013 and will simultaneously occur in Sao Paulo, London and San Francisco. There would be approximately 15 companies coming from different digital businesses that would present their expansion plans, projects and investment opportunities during the event.

Wayra will bring together startups and investors which have been accelerated during this year. The format of the event was facilitated by Bloomberg Tradebook. The said event will be interactive. It will also offer participants exchanges and remote questions from various host cities.

"Wayra Global Demo Day 2013" is aimed exclusively at private investors and venture capital funds. It will also include start-ups that were accelerated by Wayra at its 14 academies. The said academies are based in Europe and Latin America.

According to Wayra's CEO Gonzalo Martín-Villa, "This new format of three venues enables us to showcase the global spirit which is at the heart of Wayra. We believe that the chosen cities, vibrant hubs of technology, talent and innovation, are a true reflection of our position as an international accelerator."

The event would represent a major milestone for Wayra's annual calendar. In December 2012, a total of 17 start-ups were successfully presented in Miami, which made last year's global event a first of its kind. Wayra has invested in a total of 260 start-ups across 20 digital industries in 12 countries.
