Global aviation services and aftermarket support provider BBA Aviation verified reports that it is currently in talks to merge with StandardAero. The Britain-based company also confirmed its acquisition of Maguire Aviation. Should the deal push through, BBA Aviation's planned partnership with Standard Aero, a subsidiary company of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), would be worth GBP 2.7 billion or USD 4.21 billion. StandardAero is an independent maintenance, repair and overhaul provider servicing the aerospace industry.

BBA Aviation confirmed the news today. Earlier, a report that did not cite sources came out in the Sunday Times about the planned merger of StandardAero and the acquisition of Maguire Aviation.

BBA Aviation's purchase of US-based Maguire Aviation was valued at USD 69 million. A fixed-base operator (FBO) at Van Nuys airport in Los Angeles, Maguire has catered and coordinated travels, fuels aircraft, provides ground handling and maintenance and leases hangar and office spaces, among others.BBA Aviation said that it expected its purchase of the FBO would add to its earnings per share in the first year of its acquisition.
