In order to raise money for its charities, Electronics Arts have offered to the market the Humble Origin Bundle. Just for the cost of GBP3, one can take home eight titles from the game maker's vaunted series collections.

The games included in the bundle include Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space 3, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box and Medal of Honor. Adding a little more, about GBP3.04 or US$4.72, two games namely The Sims 3 and Battlefield 3 together with the Starter Pack can be taken home.

These game titles can be unlocked through EA's Origin, the gaming companies newest digital distribution platform. This new platform runs alongside the currently successful platform Steam.

The charities of EA would receive a portion of the proceeds of the sale. These charities are the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Watsi and the Human Rights Campaign. As of the latest report, about 745,000 bundles have been sold totalling US$3.5 million for the charities.
