Four days after being told by Philadelphia Eagles management to seek help and counselling, Riley Cooper was back in uniform in practice as the NFL gears into playoff mode. Cooper made headlines as he used a racial slur in phone video that went viral.

While many do not believe that Cooper sought professional help on the matter, what was admitted by both Cooper and Eagles coach Chip Kelly was that the embattled wide receiver had sought 'assistance' or 'help'. Some news media reports had said Cooper instead went home to Florida to his parents home.

This is just one of the issues that the Philadelphia Eagles management faces when running a team in the National Football League. The team value, calculated as of August 2012, was at US$1.26 billion. Its team player payroll is at US$149 million, earning a total revenue of US$296 million from gate receipts (US$54 million) and operating income (US$48.2 million).
