Pennon Group hires Ian McAulay of MWH Global as chief executive of Viridor Limited

Pennon Group Plc announced its appointment of Ian McAulay as both the chief executive officer of Viridor Limited and executive director with the Pennon Group Board. Ian McAulay will start both roles in 9 September 2013.

Mr. McAulay is presently with MWH Global's chief of corporate development and global strategy. MWH Global operates from its headquarters in the state of California, United States. Some of his current responsibilities include corporate strategic planning and company development that deals with mergers and acquisitions. He also functions as an operational manager at MWH's ResourceNet business unit in India.

"I am delighted to welcome Ian to Pennon Group.  He brings with him extensive experience of developing and delivering large scale, capital intensive infrastructure projects in both regulated and unregulated businesses and management of major complex organisations, which I believe will prove invaluable to the Company," the chairman of Pennon Group Plc, Ken Harvey, said.

Mr. McAulay is a chartered civil engineer. He also successfully graduated from Cambridge University's Business and Environment Programme and from the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Programme.
