Dolly Varden elects new heads, approves new provisions

Dolly Varden Silver Corporation announced today that its shareholders voted to retain Allen Ambrose, Allan Marker and John King Burns as the company's directors. Furthermore, the shareholders named Roise Moore, Ian B. Smith, George W. Heard and Y.B Ian as its newest independent board members.

Commenting on the election of its new officials, Dolly Varden Chairman John Burns said, "We welcome the new directors and are impressed by the vigor and activity they have already brought to the company. Their experience and expertise in the financial markets and mining industry is appreciated as we continue our 2013 drilling program."

In the shareholders' meeting last July 26, Dolly Varden's stock option plan and advance notice provisions were approved.

Moreover, the Board of Directors approved the 4,389,750 stock option grant to its officers, executives, consultants and employees pursuant to the recently approved stock option plan. TSX Venture Exchange will oversee the issuance of options.
