Jurors will continue with the second day of deliberation on Tourre's case on Thursday. They are to decide over whether to hold the former Vice President of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. liable for a complex deal associated with subprime mortgages.

The jurors comprised of five women and five men that were sent home by US District Judge, Katherine Forrest after meeting six hours on Wednesday. However, no verdict was reached making the trial resume on Thursday.

Frenchman Fabrice Tourre has been battling with the claims of the Securities and Exchange Commission for three years. SEC accused him of misleading investors in the Abacus 2007-AC1 deal where Tourre will face either paying penalties or facing lifetime ban from the investment industry once proven guilty.

Once proven guilty, the Securities and Exchange Commission would finally answer critics' statements, which say the agency is not aggressive in enforcing its authority over individuals who were involved in insider trading during the financial crisis.
