Canaccord Financial Inc. division Canaccord Genuity announced earlier that Geoffrey A. Richards joined the company as Managing Director, Head of U.S. Special Situations and Restructuring. In line with the appointment, Richards was assigned to work from the company's New York City headquarters and occasionally from the Chicago unit.

Prior to joining Canaccord Genuity, Richards assumed the role Managing Director at Giuliani Capital Advisors LLC and one of the partners in the Kirkland & Ellis LLP since 2002. Richards also taught corporate restructuring at Northwestern University School of Law.
