The seed funding round they say has reached US$650,000 and the company is seeking to raise around US$1 million before the year ends.

Kontextual is the direct result of a firm's innovative ways to rise above operational problems and identifying an entire new business in the process. The start-up's software assists organizations streamline the way they internally communicate, measure results, and find information.

"It's about decreasing the friction to get the information you need in a company," Kontextual CEO Kurt Skifstad noted.

"Kontextual describes its technology as a platform that helps companies build transparent, metric-driven cultures. Our cloud- and mobile-based platform helps companies share important information locked in planning spreadsheets, walled off in expensive enterprise platforms, and lost in the black hole of the corporate inbox. The result is strategic alignment of resources, increased efficiency, and significant cost savings for the business, and greater job satisfaction for employees," a representative of the company stated.
