Sources close to EIV Capital Management Company LLC have said that the company had now raised US$65 million. Regulatory filings indicate that the capital raised will be used for the firm's second energy investment fund. The firm focuses on providing financial aid to growth companies in the energy market. The 4-year-old private equity firm covers an extensive array of sectors within the energy industry, including downstream, midstream, and upstream sectors.

The Houston-based company said that investments between US$5 million to US$20 million are what they would usually be looking into. According to the sources, the funds are injected to energy infrastructure businesses including those involved in the processing, production, transportation, and storage of energy.

The EIV Capital Fund II LP is expected to stay open to investments for at least one more year. According to the official document with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the sale was just recently started in July 15 of this year. Official representatives from the firm, though, were not immediately available for comment.
