Accenture Plc to acquire rival Booz & Co

Accenture Plc, a leading management consulting firm, said that they are in talks to acquire rival company Booz & Co. The deal is set to increase Accenture's strategy and operations consulting services. Earlier this year, Accenture announced that they have plans to acquire digital marketing company, Acquity Group, alongside global service design consultancy Fjord and loan origination software company, Mortgage Cadence.

Currently, Accenture has an estimated 266,000 employees stationed worldwide. The company reported net revenues of US$27.9 billion for the fiscal year 2012. Booz & Co has about 3,000 employees worldwide. Booz & Co ended the possible merger with management consulting firm, A.T. Kearney in July 2010.

Accenture is the multinational technology services, management consulting and outsourcing company. Booz & Co, established in 1914, is a global management consulting company which was established in the United States. Booz & Co is recognized as one of the most prestigious management consulting companies in the world.
