TJ Holmes has shared that he was recently accused of stealing someone else's cell phone on a flight.

In Monday's episode of their podcast, 'Amy & T.J.,' Holmes, 46, shared an incident that occurred during their flight to Los Angeles.

TJ Holmes Falsely Accused of Stealing Passenger's Phone

A woman approached them, accusing TJ Holmes of stealing her phone. The TV host mentioned that he was leaving the lavatory in the first-class cabin when he was unexpectedly halted by a woman seated in 1F.

While using the bathroom near the cockpit, Holmes encountered a flight attendant and an elderly woman with white, dirty blonde hair.

Holmes remembered the flight attendant questioning him about a phone in the bathroom, to which he quickly responded, "Oh, no." I didn't see anything". 

According to Holmes, the woman allegedly approached him and made a motion that resembled a frisking gesture, while asking if he had something.

During that moment, Holmes described how he lowered himself to the woman's height, placing his hands on his knees, and engaging in conversation at eye-level. He then approached her and asked, "Excuse me, did I take your phone?"

Although the passenger chose to disregard Holmes, he did admit that the flight attendant was excessively apologetic regarding the incident. The passenger went back to her seat, while Holmes observed from four rows behind as the woman discovered her phone trapped in her seat.

"If there weren't more people around then I wouldn't have bent down and been as assertive as I was because I wouldn't have a witness that I wasn't aggressive towards her," Holmes said, according to The Independent.

TJ Holmes, Amy Robach Relationship

Now, the hosts of the former 'GMA3: What You Need to Know' show mentioned that they can laugh about it, with Holmes even making a joke about the woman potentially listening to their podcast on a cellphone.

Holmes and Robach were first seen together in November 2022, getting close at a bar in New York City.

During that period, Robach was in a marital relationship with actor Andrew Shue, while Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. According to People, a source said there was no overlap between their romantic involvement and their marital commitments.
