Elon Musk's dad said that he taught the billionaire how to gamble. Retire electromechanical engineer Errol Musk, 77 years old, shared this during a new interview.

Errol even boastly said that his teachings helped the Tesla tycoon win $42,000 at the roulette table. Here are other things Elon Musk's father shared.

Elon Musk's Dad Taught Him How to Gamble

Errol Musk said that when Elon Musk was just 16 and his younger brother Kimbal Musk was just 14, he would take them to the Marula Sun casino in South Africa.

He said that Elon and Kimbal would dress to appear to be 18 years old so that they could be allowed to gamble. Errol also described their strategy wagering, as reported by The Daily Mail UK.

Elon Musk's dad said that their tactic involved quite large amounts for beginners. He added that their gambling lasted for a few weeks. They even took home piles of chips instead of cashing them.

Errol Musk said that the different gambling techniques he shared with his children helped Elon Musk to win $42,000 while attending Kimbal's bachelor party in Las Vegas back in 2001.

Elon Musk Urges X to Enter Sports Gambling

In February, a partnership between BetMGM and X was announced. This collaboration is expected to allow Elon Musk's social media platform to enter sports betting.

According to Variety, the partnership will enable X to integrate BetMGM's odds info and branding into the platform. This means that X will display users to place wagers in each game linking to BetMGM's website and app.

Although Elon Musk is making efforts to allow X to enter the sports betting industry, this doesn't mean that his father's gambling teachings influenced him to do so.

Right now, Elon Musk's gambling habits are still unknown and it's unclear where he stands when it comes to gambling.
