Airport lodgings that are usually just steps away from the terminal have been known to offer a convenient and practical accommodation. However, airport hotels are recently stepping up their games with updated guest rooms and resort-style amenities that gives off a vibe of luxury.

CNN listed the world's 10 most luxurious airport hotels.

First off is Crowne Plaza Changi Airport which has 563 rooms. Located in Terminal 3 of Singapore's Changi Airport, the hotel boasts a gym, spa, several restaurants, and an enormous courtyard with a swimming pool.

The ultramodern rooms feature high-tech smart LED televisions with Bluetooth speakers. Its 10-storey extension has just been debuted by the hotel, adding 243 rooms in August.

Next is Langham Palace, offering a five-star luxury accommodation which is adjacent to Terminal 3 at Beijing International Airport. It has 372 spacious bedrooms for fliers. It includes several lofts, townhouses and even a penthouse.

Customers will surely take comfort in each room's plush, custom-made bedding and elegant furnishings. They may also enjoy the city or lake views. While staying in the hotel, customers may also visit a lakefront gym and an art gallery. The main attraction, however, is the hotel's two-story, 24-hour club lounge which has four separate sections. Each section has a different theme.

Sofitel London Heathrow, a hotel connected to Heathrow's Terminal 5, impresses with a vast marble atrium decorated with fountains, zen gardens and abstract sculptures. Each of its 605 rooms and suites has large beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and pillow menus. Its spacious bathrooms are equipped with deep-soak tubs and separate rainfall showers. The hotel's ESPA spa features an aromatherapy steam room, sauna and a hydrotherapy suite.

Clients should not also miss the Perrier-Jouët Bar that offers top-notch champagne by the flute, bottle or even magnum.

The Grand Hyatt located at the right side of Dallas/Fort Worth is also included in the list as it offers travelers catching an early flight with luxurious accommodations. It has 298 chic and modern guest rooms that lures travelers with lots of art and fancy amenities like touchscreen room controls and deep-soaking tubs. The hotel has Mediterranean restaurant and sushi bar, the Wine Wall, and a therapeutic rooftop pool which is chlorine-free and mineral-infused.

An enclosed climate-controlled bridge provides access for travelers in Hong Kong International Airport to the Regal Airport Hotel. Featuring 1,171 sleek and modern guest rooms, the hotel uses double-glazed soundproof windows overlooking the airport runways. It has 19 Thai-inspired spa suites and six restaurants on site, including a teppanyaki bar and a French patisserie.

Inside Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport lies Dubai International Hotel. This high-end hotel has 530 plush and spacious rooms. Many of its modern rooms are equipped with leather massage chairs. It also has a 24-hour fitness center with steam room and sauna, a hot tub and two indoor pools.

The hotel radiates hospitality as it welcomes guests with a fruit basket upon arrival. They may also enjoy complimentary chocolates, canapés and beverages throughout their stay.

The Hilton Munich Airport, located in between Terminals 1 and 2 has 270 soundproofed Art Deco-inspired guest rooms with large beds. It takes pride of its heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and well-equipped gym, as well as a lobby bar that serves strong cocktails.

The rooms at citizenM at Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel in Paris has rooms that are of compact size and modern-minimalist aesthetic. It has wall-to-wall windows, king-size beds, touchscreen lighting and room controls, and free movies on demand. Travelers may have the feel of home with its oversized plush couches and a 24-hour kitchen and bar. It also has an eclectic art collection and well-stocked bookshelves.

The Hotel Novotel at Suvarnabhumi Airport, with its lavish atrium lobby, also provides guests with an option among five restaurants. It also has a thalassotherapy spa. Thai culture is highlighted in its 612 large and lavish rooms and suites. The view outside features a beautiful orchard landscaped with lush, tropical gardens and large swimming pools centered around a swim-up bar that serves cocktails.

Completing the list is Fairmont Vancouver Airport which has floor-to-ceiling windows that give a front row seat of the North Shore Mountains and runway. The hotel features an excellent day spa offering more than 120 treatments, an award-winning restaurant that specializes in Pacific Northwest Cuisine, and the Jetside Bar where there is live music every night.
