As the end of 2016 is nearly coming, here's the last round of deals on green car for the year.

The very first deals on the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV electric car and 2017 Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid-two high-anticipated models just now going on sale.

The 2016 Kia Optima Hybrid mid-size sedan remains in stock as well. Buyers willing to stick with the outgoing model can take advantage of a couple of notable deals through January 7.

Kia is offering a $500 "Year-End Bonus" on the 2016 Optima Hybrid that can be applied to purchases or leases.

The 2016 Optima Hybrid can be leased for $163 a month for 24 months, with $1,499 due at signing and an allowance of 12,000 miles per year.

Kia is also offering 0-percent APR financing for 66 months, and will waive the first two payments.

The incoming 2017 Optima Hybrid is based on the new body already used by non-hybrid models, and features the updated powertrain from the current Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.

Plug-in Hybrids

The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime only recently went on sale, but it is already the subject of somewhat discounted leases in some regions. The offer is $329 a month for 36 months, with $1,999 due at signing and an allowance of 12,000 miles per year.

In the Los Angeles area at least, Toyota is also offering a $1,000 rebate or promotional financing-either 0.9-percent APR for 60 months, or 1.9-percent APR for 72 months.

The Ford C-Max Energi has been around for several model years. It received a very minor update for 2017. Ford is offering noteworthy deals on remaining 2016 models that, like those for the Prius Prime, run through January 3.

The best lease offer for the C-Max Energi is $199 a month for 36 months. That includes a $1,999 down payment and an annual allowance of 10,500 miles. For those looking to buy, Ford is also offering 0-percent APR financing for 72 months, with up to $6,000 cash back.

Electric Car

General Motors is hitting the ground running with incentives for the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV 238-mile electric car. The Bolt EV is only just now arriving at dealerships in select markets, but GM already has some deals prepared. The Bolt EV for $359 a month for 36 months.

That offer-which applies through January 3-includes a $1,099 down payment, and a fairly high annual cap of 15,000 miles.

Fuel Efficient Gasoline Cars

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra compact sedan is worth a look this month, thanks to a Black Friday promotion Hyundai elected to extend until January 3. That promotion lops $2,500 off the price of all versions of the Elantra.

Hyundai is also offering an additional $750 bonus for buyers that finance at non-promotional rates, bringing the total amount of possible discounts to $3,250.

Mitsubishi is offering $2,000 cash back on the Mirage G4 through January 3.
