Top 10 All Time Favorite Holiday Movies

It is now time to kick off your holiday spirit. It is time do your holiday shopping, hang your most prestige decorations and of course watch your all time favorite holiday movies. Here are some film suggestions from film critic Peter Travers, host of ABC's "Popcorn with Peter Travers". He created these suggestions of his all time favorite movies that you will likely to enjoy.

Here are The Top 10 Holiday Movies of All Time :

"Bad Santa"

Billy Bob Thornton's movie-Bad Santa-had found its place as one of Peter Travers' list as one of the best holiday films. Billy Bob Thornton plays a sex-crazed, alcoholic Santa in the movie and Travers had admitted that the said movie is not suitable for the whole family.  This movie is for those people who are fed up with the whole family attitude towards Christmas. The most interesting about the said movie was that Bill Murray was supposed to play Santa and the Coen brothers were supposed to be directing it. Bill Murray was said that he could have done something amazing with it.

"Miracle on 34th Street"

Edmund Gwenn who played Santa Claus in this movie called himself "Kris Kringle", had won an Academy  Award for playing him. Travers said that he defy Daniel Day-Lewis or somebody to play Santa Claus and win an Oscar for doing it.

"The Best Man Holiday"

Taye Digs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, and Regina Hall are the all-star cast of the said movie which was included by Travers. He said that he is a big fan of the movie because aside of this being funny, it also took  the risk of dealing with people and some of the tragedies in their lives.

"The Nightmare Before Christmas"

This is film is directed by Henry Selick, and this movie shows that we see Christmas bashing up against Halloween.

"Elf"

This movie is about a guy who is really a human but is somehow taken to Santa Claus where in he doesn't fit in.

"Home Alone"

A  classic film about a kid who had left alone by his family, accidentally, and tried to protect himself and his house from bad people.

"A Christmas Story"

Starring actor Peter Billingsley as Ralphie is also on the top 10.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

Travers said  that he also liked this movie that's why he included it on the list of top 10.

"Scrooge and Scrooged"

Films centering on Charles Dickens  "A Christmas Carol" make in the list not once but twice.
