Vudu is owned by Walmart and had announced it would begin streaming movies for free this month but interrupted occasionally by some commercials. Movies will be available in HD and of course commercial will vary depending on where you are located. And there are movies that is a must-watch in Vudu and here are five great movies that you can watch on Vudu.

Jack Black's second-best film: School of Rock:

Comedian Jack Black's best will always be his voice-only role in Kung Fu Panda. But School of Rocktakes a charming second. It pairs Black, as a failed rocker and substitute teacher without a clue, with a bunch of bright upper-crust kids. The mix that works well, mostly because Black is such a big kid himself. Joan Cusack turns in a nice supporting role, and the film nabbed an 82 metacritic score - not bad, considering its largely goofy appeal.

A true classic: Inherit the Wind:

Inherit the Wind feels awfully relevant for a 1960 film. It's the story of a teacher arrested in 1925 for teaching Charles Darwin's theory of evolution in his classroom. Dubbed the "Scopes Monkey Trial," it grabbed headlines nationwide.

The film focuses on the courtroom battle, led by defense attorney Henry Drummond, played by Spencer Tracy at his blustering best. The film and his performance hold up well, despite changing acting styles in the past 60 years, and the story could be ripped from tomorrow's headlines.

A modern classic: Winter's Bone:

Sure, it's an art film. But it also shows why Jennifer Lawrence has the acting chops to keep getting called back for indies even after making the Hunger Games series of young adult action films.

In Winter's Bone, Lawrence plays an Ozark Mountain teenager on the hunt for her drug-dealing dad to keep her family from being evicted. She's tough, looking after her mentally ill mother and her two siblings, but also a believable teen. The movie was lauded for its notes of hope despite the tough subject matter, and Lawrence was nominated for an Oscar.

Classic B-movie action: Point Break

Point Break's synopsis says it all: "An FBI agent goes undercover to catch a gang of surfers who may be bank robbers." Starring the unbeatable bro duo of Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, this slightly goofy action flick benefits from a supporting turn by Gary Busey.

The original post-apocalyptic film: Mad Max

Before actor Mel Gibson opened his mouth and said the things that would haunt his career forever, before he became a controversial director, before anyone thought he might make a good lead in a rom-com or look good in face paint, he starred in Mad Max, the 1979 original post-apocalyptic picture of Australia.
