Anthony Weiner, the former Congressman of New York, was being alleged of sending inappropriate messages to a 22-year-old woman. In June 2011, Weiner resigned from Congress due to his extramarital sexting outrage.

"Some of these things happened before my resignation, some of them happened after," Weiner stated at a news conference held late Tuesday afternoon. "But the fact is that was also the time that my wife and I were working through some things in our marriage."

Weiner used the name Carlos Danger with a young woman. TheDirty.com released the conversations' screenshots which were taken from Facebook and Formspring. In a statement made by Weiner following the revelation of his sex chat messages, he admitted that some of the accusations were true.

Weiner's net worth was US$750,000. When he was elected, he invested on issues regarding middle class, health and housing in several communities. Earlier this year, Weiner announced that he would run for New York City mayor. This was after the media blitz in which his wife, Hilary Clinton's long-time aide, Huma Abedin, joined him in an open talk about their struggles after the scandal.
