C2FO, a market for working capital, closed US $18 million funding in a round led by San Francisco-based investment firm Mithril.

Existing investors OpenAir Equity Partners, which led the series A round, Union Square Venture, which led the series B round, and Summerhill Venture Partners also joined Mithril for this round.

The C2FO provides a platform for businesses to work in partnership to boost their working capital. The whole platform works on a bid/ask system. To date, the company has produced more than US $300 million in market capital for its clients and another US $4 billion in initial cash flow.

Alexander Kemper, C2FO founder, said they were looking for a partner with an international reach as well as "a strong presence in financial technology and market structure."

Mithril brought this to the table and added the extra elements of keen product and tech understanding. We are delighted to have them with us as we continue to build our global platform," he said.
