World-famous toymaker Hasbro Inc. (HAS) is showing promising results in the sales of its games through iPad.

Rhode Island Hasbro branch, Pawtucket, has announced earlier that sales for "Monopoly" and "Magic: The Gathering" has risen to $255.4 million, up to 19 percent, in the second quarter of their release. This is the third of a series of sales gains for the company and has resulted to a reversal of the 7.6 percent sales drop during the same period in the previous year.

Hasbro continues to entice the younger generation by revamping classics such as "Twister" into new digital innovations like "Twister Dance." Two weeks ago, Hasbro has also acquired a majority stake in leading game maker, Backflip Studios.

Needham & Co. analyst Sean McGowan commented on Hasbro's recent gaming progress in a recent interview, saying," Hasbro got its head knocked in, in the games area three years ago. This is evidence that at least for now they figured it out."
