Livewire Mobile agreed to the buyout terms of OnMobile Global Limited. The deal is seen as OnMobile's opportunity to boost its value adding service (VAS) for mobile enterprises in the US.

No financial terms were disclosed but the agreement further boosted the image of OnMobile as a serious player in integrated VAS.

David Fondots, who will head up the combined entity operations, said that it is critical now more than ever to offer solutions "that not only acquire, but retain high value subscribers."

"With embedded device solutions conveniently tied to operators' billing services, OnMobile will now be able to provide consumers with personalized value added service bundles and pricing that cannot be matched," he said in a statement.

Livewire has an extensive collection of mobile music and gaming solutions. It counts Sprint, US Cellular and Cricket as well as metroPCS among its list of clients. OldMobile, meanwhile, also has big-time clients of its own such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
