Apple pirates medical firm staff for iWatch

The rumor mill is not stopping for Apple this week. Recently, a speculated new product called the iWatch gained interest from followers of the company. The iWatch attracted more discussion regarding its possible features when the tech titan hired experts in the medical and fitness field to join the company.

According to technology website 9to5 Mac, employees from Authentec, a fingerprint scanning company which Apple acquired almost a year ago, are looking to integrate their technology towards the speculated iWatch. Others believe that the high end watch will have medical diagnostics and monitoring technology.

Staff from medical related firms was reportedly poached by Apple recently. Among these companies were AccVein, a vein mapping specialist firm, C8 MediSensors, a blood monitoring company, and Senseonics, producer of biometric technology for sugar levels.

The tech website also pointed out that Tim Cook's connection to the health and wellness market could be the hint to the alleged new product. Cook is included in Nike's board of directors.
