Google is going to make its Nexus line just more affordable. The Californian Mountain Viewer has slapped a permanent $30 cut since earlier this month on the Nexus 5X, its smaller 5.2 inch smart phone. Now the tech giant is slashing another $50 as a limited time promotion offer centering Valentine's Day.

The smaller Nexus line smart phone of 16GB model is going to be unlocked for $299. Meanwhile, the 32 GB model will be available for $349. The reduced prices are believed to fall within capabilities of mid- income segment, according to a report published in The Verge.

The Alphabet subsidiary also executes innovations in promo campaigns for Valentine Day. The offer will forward a balance of $50 towards purchasing a Huawei smart watch in case of purchasing a Nexus 6P. In similar promotional measure, a free case will be awarded for purchase of every Nexus 5X, reports Mashable.

The $50 off offer remains valid for purchasing Nexus 6P, but remains limited for the new matte gold version. The version with 32GB memory will be available at $449 while with double storage at $499. Google hasn't disclosed anything on the offer tenure, but CNET presumes the offer will remain valid for a limited time only centering February 14.

In Europe, the price cuts are even more severe which suggests that the Valentine's Day offer remains valid there too. The starting price of a Nexus 5X has been cut by €80, from €429 to €349 and the Nexus 6P's price has been cut from €649 to €549.

Though price cut or promotional information is not available, the starting price for the Nexus 5X and 6P are £299 and £449 respectively. However, according to the Mashable report, the promo offer remains valid from January 26 to February 12.

There is no guarantee that the Valentine's Day offer will stick. Both Nexus phones are already a good value in comparison to other mid-range smart phones. The recent discount offer is believed to be a better idea since finding better options for these prices appears to be difficult until disclosure of further promotional offers by rival smart phone manufacturers.

The Mountain View tech giant has offered $50 discount on Nexus 5X and 6P (Applicable for matte golden color devices only). It has slapped a $30 price cut earlier this month. The recent discount offer has reduced the price to such an extent that the products appear to be the best choice for the mid tier consumers. However, neither Google nor any other source has confirmed the exact duration of the Valentine Day offer.
