Siparex led a group of investors in buying Groupe CEBTP from the Dutch company Grontmij. The sale will be finalized after securing the approval from French competition bodies in the third quarter of 2013.

In raising the money, Siparex partnered with Bpifrance Investissement et BNP Paribas Développement and Cathay Capital, along with mezzanine debt that was facilitated by Idinvest Partners.

CEBTP is a recognized leader in the construction industry, providing technical and scientific expertise in assessing the life cycle of infrastructures.  Aside from France, it is also present in the Carribean, North Africa, Guyana and the Pacific. By end of 2012, it was already posting Eur 109.5 million in annual sales and employing 1,000 workers.

Bertrand Rambaud, CEO of Siparex Group, said that investing in CEBTP was an easy decision to make considering its status in the industry. He said the new management team will hopefully propel the company to the next level and expand to other areas internationally.
