The big Korean electronic company, LG, comes with a new product in Consumer Electronic Show 2016. LG Gram is a new laptop with unbelievable thin and lightweight, yet highly durable.

People normally think Apple as the only company that is able to build a thin and light laptop. However, LG proves that it can produce better laptop than MacBook. According to Raymond Wong, prodoct analyst from Mashable LG Gram 15 is possibly the world's lightest 15-inch laptop.

LG Gram 15 is not only lightweight, with 2.16 lbs, but it is also thin and extremely durable. With only 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) thick and strong magnesium alloy body construction, this is a very stunning laptop.

Its 15-inch screen has with full High Definition screen with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and IPS technology display for wide view angles, with HD webcam. The laptop is powered with sixth-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors to run Windows 10 and supported with long battery life, capable to operate up to seven hours.

Ports are also abundant in LG Gram 15, with a USB 3.0 port, a USB Type-C port, HDMI port, Micro USB port and microSD card slot. Its Cirrus Logic stereo digital-analog converter speaker is also capable to produce a Hi-Fi sound with less noise and distortion.

Laptop Mag is impressed with LG Gram magnesium body that has very little flex, especially with its lightweight body. Its clean lines also emphasize its simplicity, but that what makes the laptop a bit awkward. Since its thin line body somewhat made a problematic placement for webcam, so LG put the webcam in the hinge of the laptop.

However, the placement of webcam is a bit akwward, because sometimes people are going to end up to see the bottom of their chin while taking selfies or making a video call. Even so, according to Laptop Mag, the laptop is intended to people who wanted features.

LG is not the only one with a thin laptop in CES 2016. Mac Rumors reported that Lenovo and Hewlett Packard also introduced the thin laptop, which is said to closely resemble the look, feel and size of Apple 12-inch Retina MacBook.

Lenovo comes with its new 12-inch Yoga 900S that is claimed as the world's thinnest convertible laptop, with an ultra-thin 0.5-inch carbon fiber design. While HP launches it business-class notebook; a new EliteBook Folio, with 12.5-inch screen and 0.49 inches thickness.

LG has surprised every visitors in its booth with LG Gram 15 in CES 2016. The super thin and lightweight laptop that fully equipped with features is definitely a must have laptop for technology enthusiasts.
