Vention Medical, one of KRG Capital Partners' Fund IV platform companies, announced that it had acquired RiverTech Medical. Vention Medical is a company that provides integrated services solution for the  engineering, manufacturing, and design of sophisticated medical devices, parts, and components.

With the acquisition of RiverTech Medical, Vention Medical will continue to widen its comprehensive portfolio of innovative component technology solutions for the  manufacture and development of catheter-based equipment used in a wide variety of medical, surgical, and interventional procedures. RiverTech's history of practical experience with polyimide tubing will contribute to Vention's current capabilities which including  catheter assemblies, balloon catheters, and an assortment of other minimally invasive medical equipment applications.

As a result of the deal, RiverTech Medical's accomplished team of management investors will now end up as shareholders in Vention Medical. They will maintain leadership in the RiverTech's organization post-acquisition.

KRG Capital Partners made its initial financial commitment in Vention Medical in 2008.
