The most eventful performance of "2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards" is easily 2NE1 coming back together on stage as a complete group with Park Bom. With a lot of focus put onto CL's solo debut, many did not see this coming.

Following leader CL's "Hello Bitches" performance, the four members appeared on stage and performed their previous hit songs "Fire" and "I am the Best". The ladies of 2NE1 shook the stage with their unique charisma, style, and commanding performance proving that they still have it even after a two-year long hiatus.

The global girl group's surprise appearance is the ultimate talk of the K-Pop sphere. Fans were especially astounded with Park Bom's appearance who was antecedently accused of trafficking amphetamines from the United States through Incheon International Airport.

The member was forced to spend a year and a half without any activity as a public figure and had been self-reflecting for the whole time. Even though she had been on a hiatus, the main vocal showcased her still as powerful singing capability.

Blackjacks, 2NE1's fandom name, were immensely surprised and immediately celebrated their return. Fans shared their joy at seeing 2NE1's surprise appearance with some of them commenting, "I was so surprised, I got goose bumps. I almost had a heart attack." and "How long has it been, I'm so happy." It was then made known that 2NE1's appearance at the MAMAs had been strictly kept as a secret even from the trip to the airport to the stage.

In addition, the group did not hold rehearsals and 2NE1 was not named in the Q-seat at the venue. An insider stated, "Only the main producer knew of the plans for 2NE1's appearance as a complete group, including Park Bom."

The girl group in talk has not released any new album after "Crush" last February 2014, which hit the 61st ranking on Billboard's 200 Albums chart, the topmost place reached by a Korean artist.

However, with Park Bom showing up with the rest of the members after a long hiatus at "2015 MAMA," many are wondering if this indicates an upcoming comeback.

These speculations were firmly denied by YG Entertainment as a representative stated that, "2NE1's appearance at the MAMAs was a surprise gift for fans who have continuously supported 2NE1 even though they have been inactive."

Moreover, the representative also revealed that, "This appearance was a special event. 2NE1 has not made any official plans of comeback at the time, and CL will be focusing on her solo career for the next while."

Although no future plan for the group has been announced yet, 2NE1 members being reunited at "2015 MAMA" makes Blackjacks assured that they will be definitely seeing more of their favorite girl group.
