The Cupertino firm is yet to release the iPad Air 3 but recent rumors swirling online suggest that the announcement of the new tablet might happen soon after discounts were offered for the iPad Pro. It is also speculated to be released in March with New Macbook Retina Edition while others think it will launch during the last quarter of 2016.

The Apple reseller MacMall recently offered $25 off of the 32GB variant of  iPad Pro and free shipping during their Black Friday II sale on December 04. As reported by Yibada, the sale fueled rumors that the release of a new gadget might be imminent.

Furthermore, MacMall also offered a 2% discount by  using the promo code 'APPLEINSIDER01', after their partnership with Apple Insider. Aside from MacMall, B&H Photo also offered a lesser price for the iPad Pro.

According to International Business Times, the iPad Air 3 is rumored to be released in March 2016 during the event where the new MacBook Retina is expected to be launched. The anticipated tablet is also rumored be sold at $610.

However, recent rumors suggest a later release date for the gadget. In another report by Yibada, iPad Air 3's release might take place in a different event sometime in October 2016 in order to give focus on the release of the 12-inch MacBook during the March event.

The tablet will be released with 9.7 inch screen display with 4k resolution. It will house a A9X processor, and will be available with 2GB to 4GB RAM. It is expected to have improved cameras, and longer battery life. It will also feature a finger print sensor.

Apple has not released official details regarding the release date and price for iPad Air 3, however, it is speculated to be cheaper compared to iPad Pro and will be more focused on enhancement of its media and entertainment functions.
