Worldfloat, an Indian-based social networking site, expects to have its membership base expand to around 20 million in the next few weeks. Worldfloat says this number will be achieved with the help of features like unique games, some of which allow members to earn money.

Presently, Worldfloat has 16 million users in over 60 countries but 80% of the members are from India.

"Since we started in June last year, we have been receiving tremendous response from users. So far this month 16 million signed-in and we expect to clock 20 million by August-end," Pushkar Mahatta, Worldfloat founder, said.

One of the factors behind the increasing reputation of Worldfloat is its unique game. The game, Treasure Hunt, allows Worldfloat to earn money, he added.

Mahatta added that they have been receiving offers coming from private equity funds from the United States who want to invest in his venture.

"So far we have received 5 offers from private equity funds based in the US. But, we do not want to rush into anything now. We want to wait and see how things turn out by year-end. Our current valuation is around US$250 million," Mahatta said.
