A minor girl was the latest fatality in the Asiana Flight 214 tragedy said officials from the San Francisco General Hospital. The girl has been suffering from critical injuries since the accident on Sunday, said the hospital's spokeswoman Rachael Kagan.

No further details were released about the identity of the girl. She is the third person who died from the Asiana crash.

Out of the 304 passengers and staff on board, 181 were sent to nearby hospitals, said reports.

Two adults are still being closely monitored after suffering critical injuries.

The San Francisco General Hospital is the main public hospital of San Francisco. Serving the most vulnerable citizens of the area, San Francisco General Hospital provides services generally to the poor, uninsured workers, immigrants, and senior citizens.

The Bank of America supported the hospital's foundation through a US$1.1 million grant invested after an auction of its art pieces in July.
