According to a statement by Dawn Capital, its latest fund generated a total of GBP63 million or US$95.1 million. The fund, called Dawn Capital II, is said to be utilized on Series A placements in the cloud, software, consumer internet and technology sectors.

The fund will remain open for a short time before its final close, said the company.

Dawn Capital II would be financing United Kingdom and other European firms that the company considers to be "world class, capable of being tomorrow's winners." Reputable names in the industry such as the European Investment Fund gave its support on the fund through the UK Future Technologies Fund and Capital for Enterprise. Many others are going to follow suit, said Dawn Capital.
