'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Ordered by Adult Swim for 19 Episodes; Dan Harmon Talks Plans to Create a Video Game for Series

Co-creator Justin Roiland stated that he has been writing the storyline for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 since Nov. 2, 2015. With that being said, Adult Swim officially announced that they already ordered for a renewal last October. Meanwhile, Dan Harmon teased some spoilers and revealed that they might make a video game for the adult series.

Co-creator Justin Roiland has finally started writing for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 since November 2, 2015. According to Master Herald, Roiland announced the news on Twitter that he is already working on the storyline. In addition to that, Adult Swim officially confirmed the show's renewal last September 2015 even before the 2nd installment ended last October 2015.

On the other hand, co-creator Dan Harmon teased some details about the episodes for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. As reported by Yibada, Harmon shared that his favorite character is Beth Smith, the girl who is responsible behind Rick and his grandson's weird space adventures.

Aside from that, Harmon also revealed his idea of creating a "Rick and Morty" game with unlimited dimensions, Enstarz reported. Harmon stated, "I would like to see a marriage between Minecraft as the lo-fi thing in exchange for this amazing -- the creation of the world as you walk into it. Blending that technology, you have a portal gun and you can shoot it -- you can go to really specific dimensions but you can also just go to random ones that are put together."

A co-creator revealed that they are already writing the storyline. Moreover, the network also announced that they renewed the show even before season 2 has ended. While the other co-creator teased some details about "Rick and Morty" Season 3. He also shared his idea of creating a video game for the show.

As of now, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 with 19 episodes has no official release date, although, reports suggest that the show will go back on air in March 2017 exclusively on Adult Swim.
