"Tekken 7" fans are up for some treats, as game director Katsuhiro Harada announced that the game will be arriving to PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One. And not just that, the latest "Tekken" installment is currently developed under a certain technology that will make it playable with PlayStation VR. Meanwhile, new playable characters were added to the roster of the arcade-only version of "Tekken 7" in Japan.

According to Christian Today, Bandai Namco's game director Katsuhiro Harada announced during Paris Games Week that "Tekken 7" will be released for two consoles - PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Aside from that, Harada added that the said consoles will make way for the forthcoming game to be on its most improved and complete form.

It is also worth noting that "Tekken 7" was confined as an arcade-only test in Japan as well as some areas in North America. And although the details are still kept under wraps, Yibada reported that the game is currently being developed under "Unreal Engine 4" technology. This design will reportedly make "Tekken 7" as one of the first video games compatible to be played with PlayStation VR.

PlayStation VR is the kind of console that is believed to revolutionize the way games are played. It is basically a 360 degree experience for gamers, as they can look everywhere in the game. Many deem it as the biggest change that the gaming industry has ever seen.

Meanwhile, Vine Report noted that gamers can expect new playable characters added to the roster of the arcade-only version of "Tekken 7" in Japan. The character, Kazumi Mishima, wife of Heihachi and mother of Kazuya, both long time fighters in the "Tekken" franchise, should reportedly be available in the consoles. The character's appearance would mean to showcase her prowess along with the assistance of the tiger, Kuma, which she is able to summon during fights.

As of writing, "Tekken 7" is yet to receive an official release date, but rumors are pointing a 2016 release. From there, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can finally get hold of another fighting game experience.
